🆕️ Massive Lorebook Update, new NPCs!

I gave the lorebook a huge makeover! If any of you wondered why the new update took so much longer than the ones before, or why I jumped from Version 3.1.0 to Version 3.3.0, I'll explain why im a separate blogpost in detail. Short version: my way of writing entries needs the lorebook to follow a specific order, but Chub, Wyvern and JanitorAI all scrambled the order whenever I imported it. Sometimes, it got reset to a much earlier version entirely.
So Version 3.2.0 existed, but trying to upload it to different platforms confronted me with the daunting task of having to re-sort 134 entries manually each time. And occasionally, it even broke keywords.

I instead opted to remake the lorebook from scratch, ensuring that it would be imported correctly everywhere. Since I used that opportunity to fill a lot of gaps, it's 3.3.0.

So what do you get with the new update?

♡ Auror and Fifi Entries: The puppos are now fully available and consistent in every bot.
♡ King Icarius Entry: He is now a person!
♡ Six new BG Characters: I have added the NPCs from the first messages to the lorebook: Gebeiner Head Maid Nika, Ivory Knight Captain Leucos, Esmeragden Noble Lady Klotho, Verennian Marquis Polites, Palace Maid Melissae and Head of the Palace Kitchen Demeter.
♡ Magic and Tech: all four available nations now have more nuanced stances on different magic, different education systems, and a defined tech-level.
♡ All main Residences: The homes of all capture targets have definitions in the entries now and entries for the staff! A doctor in the Gebeiner Fortress will literally heal you differently than the Imperial Physician now.
♡ More Holidays: Gebein and Anbar finally get to have fun, too!
♡ Better Triggering: I tweaked the keywords and triggering conditions of most entries and split some older ones up, also changed injection - during testing, the results looked very promising.
♡ Lore: The three main deities of Alyon are now written in.

The most notable shift when playing should be that information is prioritized more fittingly, making the AI feel like it has a better memory. But you might now also encounter more interesting stuff if you leave the major residences. In Rhyddel, you might walk into some undead workers. In Verenne, you might notice a light show. In Gebein, someone might offer you monster soup or an artifact cobbled together from leftovers.

Behold, the placeholder art of our new arrivals!
Fifi:
Fortress Head Maid Nika:
Ivory Knight Captain Leucos:
Esmeragden Noblewoman Lady Klotho du Klorofilié:
Verennian Marquis Polites di Mare:
Palace Maid Melissae:
Palace Head Chef Demeter:
Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention this... but Saintess Eos is also in the lorebook now!
(Still need to fix her art gdi)

I will probably not make a profile page for each one of them, but instead a collective NPCs page where I give each one a small blurb. Their entries in the lorebook are short and sweet, just enough to anchor their appearance and relationship to others.

What's Next?

Now that I've finally finished Anbar, my next upcoming bot is Pope Theophrastus le Xanthous. He's the final official capture target and caps off the main series! His definition is already half-written, it's just a bit of a challenge because of what I am trying to do with him.

Which brings us to the "bonus" bot I want to write, Ione de Verdant!
A Lady-in-waiting from Esmeragd.

I always find it sad that in the comics and novels, everything is so comphet. While I based Alyon on that, it was never my attention to carry this specific aspect over unchanged. In fact, under the hood, all Alyon characters are explicitly pansexual.

So I'm continuing what I started with Chloe through Ione - another sapphic option!

Concurrent to Ione, I'll work on the writing side of Esmeragd. I have a lot of notes and ideas I'm trying to pull together there, so I've got my work cut out for me. But Esmeragd won't join the lorebook until I finish a different project I'll also talk about later.

Aris' and Rux' Festival Alts are also still in the works.

In terms of Game Mechanics, I want to start transferring more information from character definitions to the lorebook. Doing so will make character nuances even more consistent across bots, while freeing up space in context. As you may have noticed, I am extremely particular about optimizing space in the context window. The reasoning is simple: I want Alyon to be a great story for longform RP. The stories I'm inspired by span entire years, and I want these stories to be just as rich.

The Relationship Stages especially would benefit from only being injected one at a time. So I'm considering how to add them to the lorebook instead.

I have also had ideas for incorporating Random Events through the lorebook! Currently still brainstorming what kinds of thngs I want in there. Once I have a workable list, I'll go forward with it. Hopefully that will make the world feel more alive and encourage especially passive LLMs to bring more motion into things.

I am also working on the visual presentation of Alyon. My JanitorAI profile is in for an overhaul and I have been tinkering with the graphics on the bot profiles, too. When the JAI version of the Sandbox is released, I want it to be impressive enough to bring more people in! And to have some solid visuals that I can reuse on different platforms.

On this website, I'm going to implement the NPCs page and need to finish the profiles for Zeus, Hera and Icarius. I should also lay the groundwork for Ione... and update the LLM recommendation.
It's a lot. And on the side, I am currently also working on a Lorebook Converter with a sweet friend of mine, and am assisting Wyvern with their implementation of lorebooks. But it's absolutely worth it! Alyon is already incredibly advanced and I am so, so proud of it - and all that is because I set myself goals like these and patiently puttered forward.

More about the Lorebook Converter and the issue I'd been struggling with soon. For now, I need to go touch some grass after all that lorebooking, lol!

Finished Profiles, fresh Visuals, STUFF!

The cats have been appeased for the time being!

I finished the profiles of all completed target characters on the website now, phew! Theo is still in the works, I have some tropes in mind I want to adapt in him, and need to figure out how to do it well.

The country info pages are now also more detailed, and up to date with the latest version of the lorebook. I am still working on Anbar's full profile and on the magical culture of Gebein, but we're getting somewhere!

Speaking of! Anbar visuals!
Most of my time lately flows into graphics because I really want to get the presentation of Alyon to a point where more people might get curious about it. I deeply care about it and want for more people to do the same, you know?

On the side, I am helping with some QA on two AIRP platforms and on a project that might make updating the lorebook easier in the future. And writing/updating lorebooks in general, honestly.

I'm really never gonna be the kind of content creator who churns out stuff on a schedule. I'm just not built for it, and sometimes one task balloons into ten new ones. Like the lorebook project - I'm doing that essentially because the Alyon lorebook is currently huge, planned to get huger still, and some platforms like Chub really fuck up the functionality upon import unless I manually fix it. Which is beginning to take hours at a time.

So the most efficient way to address it is fewer updates in quantity, with more changes per update - and a better way to prepare the files.

So... now you're up to date! Ish! I'm still slaving away in the Alyon mines!

Please have these cute Chibis I genned as a reward for reading:

Festival Alt for Hephaestus, Purdy Pictures, Scripts and more

Sorry for having been so quiet! Things got away from me for a bit there...
I have still been working on stuff though!

Hephaestus' Festival Alt/Opener is now available on all platforms! Visit his profile for links to it on different platforms!

Next up, Theophrastus' art is done!
I've started working on him, but am struggling a bit with putting his motivation together. Minor bump, let's hope that won't make me take as long as I needed for Boreas... *gulp*

I've also decided to work on some visuals for the countries. I handcrafted some pretty headers from dingbats fonts and some self-drawn elements, and managed to coax some nice atmospheric pictures out of ChatGPT. Hopefully some day I'll find the time and spoons to actually do some mattepainting for more accurate depictions. Behold!
I'll post Anbar here once its header is done for pretty...

I also started reorganizing the Setting page a bit, giving each nation its own subpage. The editing for the Carrd gets a little more unwieldy everytime I do that, but I wanted to put more information in and needed more space for that. Besides, I now tend to have very short descriptions of the nations on bot profile pages and want to offer a spot with additional info.

The current look is somewhat temporary too. I mostly just copied over the lorebook entries, the information needs some sorting... tasks for later!Chen.

Wyvern has multiplayer, so you can now brave Alyon with a friend! And JanitorAI has lorebooks now, so your pay experience there will now be MUCH improved! Already added to my todo list to go over the bots and trim their definitions, and I'm working on releasing the sandbox there:
More tomorrow, cat demands full attention!

Festival Alt: Chloe

First Festival Alt is done! Go enjoy the festivities with Chloe!
Took me forever to finally finish a picture I felt good with! Still feeling a bit insecure but oh well!

This Alt comes with a bit of a lore drop about Verenne, too. I've added the starter to all the platforms that allow alt greetings, and made it its own bot on JAI. I still need to experiment with condensing stuff for JAI...

Lorebook getting more content, Festival Alts in Progress

Working on the next Lorebook update today. I've already written a new Readme, tightened up the Genre Trigger entry a bit, and put the global lore in there.

Also resorted the entries. And am now really dreading the upload on Chub because it does NOT respect my entry sorting. I'll have to fix that upon upload by hand. 🥲

Dividers are back to make the lorebook easier to read and troubleshoot for humans too. Added Magic and Tech-Level snippets to the regional entries, Tech-Level is already done for every modularized region (Verenne, Rhyddel, Gebein), Magic only for Rhyddel so far. Before I next update, I'd like to add these bits for Verenne and Gebein, too.

I realized that I forgot an entry for Fifi! D: It's already written, I'll stuff it into the lorebook with the next update. Ideally, I'd like to finally get the servants and knights of the three main regions done already. Considering how to keep teeny tiny NPCs small but recognizable in the lorebook, like Demeter and Melissae from Chloe's opener, or Captain Leucos from Boreas'.
I think Saucepan will be left a bit behind in these. The lorebook system there does not currently blend well with my style, which is completely fine and understandable. But it also means I might keep it on 3.1.0 for a while to come or update it to only 3.1.1 by adding Eos and Fifi into it.

Anyways, did you know that the street festivals from Otome Isekai comics and webnovels are actually inspired by a real tradition and celebration? On the 7th of July, many South Korean places apparently celebrate that kind of festival - with street vendors and game booths and fireworks at night!
So I want to try and get some new Openers out there! The Festival Alts! Or at least one Festival Alt haha!
Currently trying different methods of drawing the cover image but... nothing clicked yet. Weh!
Oh well! You'll see on the 7th if I managed!

Tinker tinker tinkering

Finally had an idea for how to implement lore and mythology into the lorebook!
Very excite!
Also, the real life equivalent of the Foundation Festival from the Verennian lore is about to come up, date wise. I hope I can get some Festival starters off the ground as Janitor Alts and updates to the others.

The Northern Duke is here!

He is finally done! Boreas is finished and uploaded everywhere!

He comes with a big ole lorebook update to add him into the background for stuff like the Sandbox, Gebein has gotten lots of definition, the entries for Gebein, Rhyddel and Verenne have been put in a new format that should hopefully really improve performance by cutting down on token count!

Boreas came out great, performing much like I wanted him to! I'm really satisfied and while this took a long time, I think taking that time to do him justice was well worth it.

Next up is Theophrastus, and with him more definition for Anbar. But now that I'm almost done with the main roster, I'll also work more on NPCs and future secondary targets to flesh out the world. I've introduced a lot of small NPCs in the introductions - kitchen head Demeter, maid Melissae, head maid Nika, knight captain Leucos - and I think I'll try to give each of them an extremely short lorebook entry of their own.

But I might be quiet in July first. Art Fight is coming up, so I wanna draw more!

I'm also enjoying some Chloe doodling:
Maybe I can get some sprites for her going. She and Hephaestus get the most action so far, so they really deserve that.

Boreas and Gebein on the final stretch

Jesus, that took me forever and then some. BUT! Boreas' definition is done and so is the modularized lorebook entry for Gebein, introducing Helleborus, the capital of the Duchy.

I still need to finish some more entries: The Ivory Garde, Fifi, Auror, the Fortress Staff... and of course I still need to write the starte post for Boreas. But now that I have the setting and the focal character done, those things shouldn't take quite as long. So phew!

I may go into a hiatus on purpose for July. Art Fight is coming up and I wanna participate. Raven will also be busy, so Theophrastus will have to wait a bit for his art. But hopefully I'll be back to lorebook stuff in August and maybe I can release Theophrastus in September.

Comment Section

Forever ago I created a Comment Section character card on impulse. Basically what it does is, you put it into group chats and it chimes in periodically, simulating the kinds of comment sections you find under webcomics on Tapas, Webtoon and Bato.

Anyways, Wyvern has recently introduced group chats. So I've decided to give the card a little makeover and upload it there too. It works great with Alyon, especially if you use the Sandbox. All versions of the Comment Section are available on this website, and here's a little taste of what they act like in play:

Random Lore #1

There's a rift in the far North. A rift in the world, in space, time and reality. That is where the demonic beasts hail from.

Some say the rift leads to humanity's nightmares, and that's where the creatures form. Others claim that nightmares were brought along by the monsters when they first spilled into the world, inspired by their terrifying forms.

Auror laughs at both.

Whenever Boreas is willing to listen – which isn't often – Auror whispers of the Era of Gods. Of the time Theia walked this earth, all her power still within only her own hands, warring with her siblings Typhon and Echidna, as their creations were at odds with each other.

Theia's humans, elves and dwarves, Typhon's demons, Echidna's monsters… they all lived within the same realm in Alyon. But both demons and monsters preyed on the humans, elves and dwarves.

“Because Theia, in her foolishness, made them weak and soft!” Auror snarled disdainfully.

“Her creations were born as weak wretches incapable of even walking or speaking, and never grew claws or sharp teeth. Prey!” He scoffed.

“But she did not accept the law of power that Typhon and Echidna acted on. Even less so once she laid with humans.”

That's when she gave birth to her sons: Taos and Lykos.

As demigods, her sons chose to defend the creations of Theia. Taos, with his radiance and brilliant magic, united the humans, elves and dwarves against Typhon and his demons. The war waged for a long time, but finally, Typhon was defeated. He loved his creation despite it all, so in his last moments, the dying God swallowed all his demons and turned himself into a realm of their own: Typhon, the Demon Realm.

Meanwhile Lykos gathered only the strongest of Theia's creatures and hunted Echidna. He drank the blood of his slain enemies and feasted on their flesh, and when his armies pushed the demonic beasts far enough North that no plant life could sustain them, he fed the blood and flesh to his followers as well.

Echidna, fearing for her creations, did as Theia did – and gave birth to Auror.

Auror was the North, the Wind, the Cold. His Howl commanded all beasts. He led them in battle, a white wolf grand as a castle, as the King of Monsters. Once the monsters fought as a pack, just like Lykos’ people did, the hunt turned into a war.

“And then Lykos managed to seal me into his blood and now your bloodline is cursed to carry me forever, the end,” Auror finished gruffly. Boreas blinked, then frowned up at the ceiling he had been staring at while listening. He shoved his blanket and furs down a little.

“What?” He finally asked when Auror remained silent. The spirit-curse in his mind growled.

“That's where it ends. Read your history books for the rest,” he replied.

“No, I mean – how did Lykos seal you? How'd he defeat you in the first place?!” Boreas sat up in bed, upset.

“You made me listen to all of that rambling just to leave out the one part most vital and interesting to me?!”

“Does that make you angry?” Auror replied, the predatory grin audible in his rumbly voice. Boreas’ heart skipped a beat as he glanced down at his hands, his nails looking longer. Sharper.

“No,” he said, breathing as his father had taught him to. Calming his heartbeat. His fingers went back to normal.

“Pity,” Auror replied with a little huff.

“But I still want to know how Lykos won.” Boreas’ mind went silent. For just a moment, he felt like he was seeing a vague memory in his mind. A woman, wide eyes trained on him with fascination instead of fear. A soft voice reaching through the howl of a snowstorm. A hand, reaching, a tender touch. Boreas’ heart skipped a beat.

Then Auror cut the moment off with a growl, flooding Boreas’ mind instead with the usual torrent of horrendous imagery. Corpses, blood, gore, battle – Boreas withdrew from their connection, shut the false memories out as fast as he could, just like he learned to do.

“Go to bed, whelp.” There was a strange undertone to the voice in Boreas’ head. But for once, Auror retreated fully after that, curling up in the recesses of Boreas’ mind and leaving him with a merciful moment of respite. So the young Duke did not question it. He just closed his eyes and seized the opportunity for rest while he still could.

For once, he slept without nightmares.

Still Alive

Work is going slowly, but it's going.
I've managed to modularize the entries for Verenne and Rhyddel in the main lorebook file and am going to deploy that on Chub soon.
Wyvern needs to get it next, but I'm currently dealing with an upload issue there. So idk.

Rux has new art now!
Raven knocked it out of the park as usual! I might have to skip this month in commissioning him though, got some vet bills coming up. New picture is implemented everywhere.

If you miss his old art, it's in the gallery section on Chub. C:

Definitions of everyone are up to date, I changed some wording to encourage a better distinction between the narrative voice and the characters. Basically, I'm inching closer to making the LLMs understand that the characters know less than the user and the LLM. Also really helps in reinforcing behavior, like adherence to kinks.

Rux finally has a profile on this website and I've been adding to other characters too, and finally figured out a rough template for what I want in each profile.

I've also been playing with art more, trying my hands in drawing Chloe sprites. Might go through more style changes but hey, it's experimenting!

Recently some people sent me DMs and left me reviews that were so deeply kind. It really, really helped me. To everyone who does that - thank you. It really helps me drag myself out of slumps and move forward. Thank you.

Wyvern and Saucepan supported!

Okidoki, I've finally managed to get the lorebook working properly on Wyvern and trimmed the character definitions there accordingly. The sandbox is on there now, too!

I've also joined Saucepan and added everyone there, but it doesn't have lorebook support yet. If you play the characters there, I recommend using the memory feature religiously to keep them on track.

Links to all the platforms are added to the respective character profiles. I also added links to my profiles on the entry page of the website.

I'm struggling a bit with Boreas. But some kind people have been a huge help in writing him already, I just need to keep chipping away at him!

Lorebook got a tiny sneaky update, I hope it will positively impact the performance in the chats. But it's not huge enough that you need it or anything.

Also, I created a roadmap to organize my thoughts a bit and give others a rough idea about what I have actually planned.

So... many tiny updates. Chipping away in small portions is helpful when I feel overwhelmed.

Boreas' Art is done!

MY BOI!
LOOK AT HIM! God, Raven just always fucking DELIVERS!!!

So, Easter Holiday over ♡

I've started giving Raven more comprehensive reference files lately, so today I'll straighten out the file for Rux (who's next on the list) and then get to finishing up Boreas' definition and Lorebook stuff. It might take me a smidge longer than usual because like Rux, Boreas is actually part of a different original novel than the core cast. He appears in his own story, called "Frostbitten".

I've also been rewriting old definitions a bit over my mini-hiatus, and I might want to finish that up before releasing Boreas. Basically I'm trying to achieve some things here that are necessary for the Isekai conceit to work correctly, like the AI differentiating more clearly between itself and the character it's supposed to RP. My good friend cattun has given me some great experiments of his own to work with there, so I need to study those a bit to see if I can transfer the basics to my own experiments. Here's a sneak-peek:
By the way, we have a Discord Server now! Not just for Alyon, but for Otome Isekai bots in general!
If you make any kind of Romance Fantasy bots, you can also have your own ping role there to promote your content! We're small for now, but I'll definitely shout us out once I post Boreas everywhere ♡

Easter Holiday

Aaaayyyy

Been a bit quiet lately, I know. Several factors here, like waiting on some stuff, feeling a bit under the currently intensely changing weather, blah.

I've been working on uploading everything to Wyvern.Chat, which is a lovely growing platform with some very solid LLMs and functions. They have a Scenario function that I would love to eventually use to expand the world!

Something about the Alyon Lorebook seems to clash with the platform though, which means I need to retool stuff a bit probably. Fortunately, the dev team is amazing and attentive.

I also have to admit that Eury's release saddened me a little. I've noticed that for the most part, the more I like a character, the less popular they end up becoming. Eury and Rux are easily my favorites, and fewer people check them out than the other three. With Hephaestus and Chloe leading the fray.
This is just the reality of creating. There will always be neglected masterpieces next to overhyped shitposts, so please don't read this as condemnation or anger. I'm just doing what I usually do when something gets me down a little, which is touching grass. Or rather, petting my cats and spending time with loved ones. Also, diving into some other fun projects I have parallel to this, like "SUITS".

Cat tax:
I think next up I'm gonna write the Festival Alts! I think that'll be great fun! Boreas and Theo get moved back a bit. Maybe I'll also finally get back to Ranchworld. Let's see.

It's kinda funny. Boreas originally was supposed to be my second Alyon bot, but I keep having to postpone him. Oh well!

Anyways, happy Easter everyone! Enjoy coloring and finding eggs!

Eurylochus is done!!!

Our beloved Eurylochus is here to tend to his baby sister!
Potential Stepcest warning for those who find that icky, but he should be very receptive to sticking to familial/platonic love if you prefer that. And he is so sweet ugh!!! I am excited about him!
I'll brush up his Lorebook entry this weekend and update that too so I can remove bloat from the card, but I really need to get some other stuff done too. Still, so excited!!!!!

EURYLOCHUS ART AAHHHH!!!

Eurylochus' art is done! I am SO EXCITED!!! It kills me inside that I still have to finish paperwork today before I can get to him ARGH! But here's a look at him!
Raven did an exceptional job and I can't wait to see the other characters in his style! ;u; SOOOON!

Devlog Revamp!

What has two thumbs and revamped the blog today? DIS BITCH!

The old system was kind of just cobbled together from containers and text boxes in Carrd blocks, which was serviceable short-term. But long-term, there were too many disadvantages to it - updating was a complex process, you couldn't search the entries, no tagging system, and it took up a lot of space. Plus, I couldn't figure out how to make new Disqus boxes for each entry, so all comments would have been only on the latest one.

So I'm gonna solve it with an iFrame now, embedding a Blogger blog that also exists separately. Soooo man advantages: Easier posting, comments under past entries, I'll actually be notified via email when you comment, I think you can even follow this as an RSS feed if you find checking the website tedious. Also removes a lot of bloat from my Carrd page, woo!

I put all posts into the archive, so you can still access them and they are correctly dated.

This weekend, I might not get much done for Alyon btw. Not that anyone expects it lol, I feel like some people probably already feel like I ping them nigh daily with updates. But I'm penciled in to go on some grass touching missions.

Also, may I just thank you all real quick? It means the world to me how many chats I see with my characters, even though I sometimes cringe a bit about how shallow they feel without the lorebook. ;u; But as more platforms incorporate lorebooks, I hope we can soon make this world really shine!

EDIT: The original format was absolutely unreadable on mobile, so I have to take the L and put in the mobile format as well. If you are looking for the search or RSS/Atom feed subscriptions, click "web version" at the bottom and scroll to the right. I'm sorry. ;u;

ST Card Update!

Just a mini update today, but I went over the ST Cards of Aris, Chloe and Rux today and removed their magic sections. Those are in the lorebook now and it saves a ton of tokens and should hopefully improve performance to have the lorebook take care of that.

I've also uploaded the series to WyvernChat, but since lorebooks are currently broken, expect more of a preview-ish version akin to the JAI bots so far.

Wonderfully, JAI has shown first glances at their lorebook system, so hopefully, those users can get the full experience soon, too!

New Lorebook Version! (2.0.0)

Look at me being productive! Yeah so what I've been mainly working on lately was a pretty big lorebook update haha! Version 2.0.0 is finally done! It adds the Holy Nation of Anbar to the map, complete with relationship to most other subnations, a capital and the main religion in Alyon, the Church of Theia - along with Theia herself!

Which also gives me an opportunity to finally give y'all a preset mod I made to go with Alyon. My MIHONI Mod is just a small tweak of MIHONI that changes the writing style a bit, removes the random word segments, and adds “Theia's Influence”. If you toggle it on, Theia will comment on your RP and may even decide to nudge the story a bit here and there. ;3 Among free LLMs, I've had the best results with Gemini 2.0 Pro and DeepSeek v3 with this.

Aside from that the new version of the lorebook should be radically more token efficient, since I compressed some entries. And I couldn't resist slotting in a new target character….. whoops!

Anyways, have fun with divine intervention!

Happy April Fool's!

I got a request for a tsundere wife with a MalePOV and thought to myself… Why not make it a cute little special? Hera needed more definition for her lorebook entry anyways, so might as well. Just a little relaxing project while I chip away at the bigger stuff and wait for my art.

This bot has the user isekai'd into the body of the Emperor. It's supposed to be a comedic thing where you try to win her back after she has built up years of resentment, with the whole world seeming determined to put you in impossible situations.

 Enjoy your April Fool's!

EDIT: As ST Card and on Wyvern, Hera has her own lorebook for this. Please import that if you play the bot, it prevents logical errors with the role of {{user}}.

Verenne Multibot and impending Lorebook Update!

Phew, okay! The Verenne Multibot is done for all my JAI buddies, because I do fully understand that other platforms aren't everyone's cup of tea (and tbh, I really like JLLM). For my ST and Chub buddies, I updated the Sandbox with the multibot greeting so you can play the scenario too! In fact, I've added all the greetings/scenarios I've written so far, including for each Target Character, so you can play them all from the Sandbox if you wish.

In terms of bot progress, I am waiting on Eury's final art right now while I chip away at his definition. In the meantime, I'm having a lot of fun with Alt ideas. Perhaps I'll just give in and write my festival Alts, releasing them while I wait. I have cute ideas for that for all four currently released characters.

My main focus right now is actually the lorebook though. I've started working on Anbar (I'll probably add it to the Setting page today) and also really want to finalize Zeus and Hera. Not just for cleanliness but also because I feel they add a ton to the story.

I'm also defining the Church of Theia and Theia herself right now, ties into Anbar quite a bit. So look forward to Lorebook 2.0.0 soon!In other news, I've spruced up the website's navigation a bit. Sleek symbols now instead of big ugly buttons! Also added the multibot to all pertinent character pages. C: Expect more small fiddlies like that.

Aris is here!

So Aris is finally done! Well... the bot is. Still haven't gotten around to his profile yet, whoops!

This concludes the Verenne bots (until Stretchgoals maybe). I'll experiment with making a little multibot of them, especially for JanitorAI, using their Lorebook definitions. I also still need to integrate their magic in the lorebook. So... expect version 1.2.1 soon.

I moved Eurylochus to the WIP section and left Boreas in the planned section, but to be honest, either of them might manifest next. I'll also have to clean up the lorebook entries of Zeus and Hera and finish the one for Icarius while I work on the last two bois. So there might be a brief lull while I catch up to the bots with the lorebook, much like there was a bot hiatus happening when I started working on the lorebook.

Sandbox and Lorebook up!

Alright, the Sandbox and Lorebook are finally on this website, too! Or, uh, linked on this website. I'm not quite sure yet if the picture function of carrd works well with ST cards, so I'll get to updating the collection once I had time to test that.

We also have an actual progress box now where you can follow along to see what's currently actively in the works and planned next and stuff. Be aware that I might always end up having a sudden inspiration boost and finish a bot up in a six hour frenzy even though that one wasn't supposed to be on the WIP list yet - but the Progress Box genuinely reflects what my plans are at least.

And there can be breaks as I indulge a different target of my hyperfocus, like my lorebook creation guide, my preset experiments or Ranchworld. Or I want to give myself a little break and do something easy, like lorebook tweaks or writing notes for future alt ideas.

You might be wondering what "Stretchgoal NPCs" are supposed to be? Well, honestly, the main cast of target characters is where my ideas started. But not where they ended. My favorites in Otome Isekai stories have always been the smaller side characters and secondary male leads. I'd kind of really like to add a few characters at least in the lorebook - aides, knight captains, a lady in waiting. Whenever I work on stories, this kind of "feature creep" is pretty typical for me. So many ideas, and then I get lost in some details instead of ever getting the basic skeleton done.

Well, not this time! I've sectioned off a lot of these extras into a "Stretchgoal" category, meaning that I'll write and define them only once I'm done with the core cast - or close enough to done that I need the extras to keep my flow intact. Ideally, I won't touch any of these characters until there's no more than 1 target character and 2-3 Major NPCs left.Maybe I should link my master document here eventually. Might be fun for people to look at...

Artist found!!!

So as an artist myself, I always felt guilty about using AI-generated art for this series. But my budget is tiny and I had a very specific style in mind, so the leap to commissions was... difficult. I originally planned on eventually replacing all art with selfdrawn pieces, but I really struggle to get to the style I want.

Enter Raven, who advertised commissions on one of the many Discord servers I'm in.Raven's style is amazing! Very much what I was looking for! I! Am! In! LOVE!Eurycholus is the first target character to get his own actually artis drawn portrait/card! I am super excited, because bespoke art means I can hopefully get some nuances into the characters that were lost before, and I adore having a unified style!

On a sidenote, Hephaestus is finished and published now! You can grab his ST Card from Chub or chat with him on JAI now! C:Aris is probably next, I'm nearly done with him and already testing as I go. I'm really looking forward to that, because with his completion, the Verennian court's cast will be concluded enough to have a comprehensive play experience if you want to start at the Princess' arrival there or her wedding.

After Aris I might take a moment to clean up and smoothe out Zeus and Hera, then move on to Rhyddel, then circle around to Gebein.

Website Launch!

Yaaaay the website is mostly up and functional! Even got the Trigger Warning accordeons to work, heck yeah!

Still need to actually put in the actual current progress stuff, find a good spot for the lorebook and sandbox and fill out the profiles I haven't yet. But just like the rest, I'll do that piecemeal over the next few days. For now I am hyped to have a good scaffolding going!

I think Hephaestus is ready to go. He just needs an intro, maybe another small nudge in one area, then he should be fine. So nervous about this - Chloe is making NUMBERS (at least for my norm), and now I worry a bit that Heph will he a letdown after her.

But no point in worrying about that. I can only make what I like and wait and see if others agree. Some will, I'm sure.

🆕️ Massive Lorebook Update, new NPCs!

I gave the lorebook a huge makeover! If any of you wondered why the new update took so much longer than the ones before, or why I jumped fro...
